Project Overview
This project will expand the existing facility increasing the number of beds and decentralizing the services, so that each housing unit is self-sufficient having its own classrooms, medical exam room, passive recreation, and dining.
Highlights of the expansion include:
- The addition of 90 new beds in three housing units
- Additional classrooms and dayroom facilities
- Medical and mental health support areas
- Food service areas, laundry services, staff dining and training areas
- A new visitors center
- New security electronics
- Construction of a new central plant
- Construction of an additional 120 beds in four housing units. This was approved by the Board of Supervisors in February 2007.
