The County does not provide curbside recycling to apartment complexes. Apartment complexes are serviced by private waste hauling and recycling companies who provide containerized garbage collection service. Check with your Apartment Manager to find out about recycling service at your complex.

Service Costs - Variable Rates

Waste collection service costs are based on the size garbage container residents choose to use. Rates for service are as follows:

The objective of this variable container rate system is to provide an economic incentive for residents to reduce waste and maximize use of the mixed recycling and green waste collection programs. The smaller the container the lower the fee.

These rates include costs for garbage, mixed recycling and green waste collection and once-per-calendar year pickup of bulky waste at no additional charge.

Approximately 25 cents per month of your monthly rate is used to clean up illegal dumping on County roadsides.

Approximately 30 cents per month of your monthly rate is used to operate the Household Hazardous Waste drop-off facility at the North Area Recovery Station and the Antifreeze, Automotive Batteries, Used Motor Oil and Latex Paint drop-off facility at Kiefer Landfill.
