Neighborhood Cleanup by Appointment

You no longer need to wait for our collection crews to be in your neighborhood.  Now, Sacramento County will provide once-per-year pick-up of your bulky waste by appointment.  Simply call the County at (916) 875-5555 to schedule a pick-up.  The same collection set-out instructions apply (see below).

  • Place materials out for collection no more than 24 hours before pick up.
  • Place your pile in front of your home, at edge of street.
  • Don't place pile next to garbage containers or parked vehicles and must not block traffic.
  • Piles without appointments $50 extra.
  • Extra material allowed at a cost of $25 per 5 cubic yards.
  • One appointment allowed per year.

Amount

Five (5) cubic yards of material, which is a pile about 8'x4'x4', is the maximum that will be accepted. This is also about the size of a pickup truck bed filled even to the top of the cab.  Extra material will be picked up for a charge or $25 per 5 cubic yards.
