Proposed Utility Rate Increases
Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District
(SRCSD), County Sanitation District 1 (CSD-1) and
Sacramento County Water Agency are proposing rate
increases, which, if approved, would take effect July 1,
2007.
Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District
(SRCSD) and County Sanitation District 1 (CSD-1) are
each proposing a two-step phased in rate increase:
- Step one of SRCSD’s rate increase of $1.50 per
month would take effect July 1, 2007. The second
rate increase of $1.25 per month would take effect
July 1, 2008.
- Step one of CSD-1’s rate increase of $1.00 per
month would take effect July 1, 2007. The second
rate increase of $1.00 per month would take effect
July 1, 2008.
Sacramento County Water Agency is proposing a rate
increase for both flat- and metered-rate customers.

Flat-rate customers would receive a $14.00
increase on their two month bill in both July 2007
and July 2008.

Metered-customers would also receive an
increase in both July 2007 and July 2008. Visit

No rate increases are being proposed for refuse
services, which includes garbage, recycling and green
waste pick-up.

A rate increase hearing will be
held on Wednesday, March 28 at 9:30 a.m. at the
Sacramento County Administration Center, Board Chambers,
700 H Street in Sacramento.
If you oppose a proposed rate adjustment, you must
submit a written protest before the March 28 hearing
(e-mail protests are not
accepted). In your letter, include a property
description, such as the parcel number, and indicate
which rate increase is being opposed (local sewer,
regional sewer or water). Mail your protest to: Clerk of
the Board of Supervisors, County of Sacramento, PO Box
269125, Sacramento, CA 95826-9125.
