The Drainage Operations and Maintenance Section
consists of three units:
- Service Request
- Operations and Maintenance
- Project Design.
The Service Request Unit responds to constituent's
drainage complaints and concerns. This unit is
responsible for developing a GIS-based customer
service tracking program and imaging all
customer service-related documents. This
unit also coordinates flood preparedness
for the section.
The Operations and
Maintenance unit provides engineering
support for the maintenance of drainage
canals, channels, streams and associated
floodplain areas to reduce existing
flooding problems and minimize the
chance of future flooding. this includes
the mapping of drainages facilities.
The Project Design unit prepares plans
and hires contractors to construct drainage
improvement projects.
