Glenwood Rd / Chelsea Rd Storm Drain Improvement
Background
The Glenwood Road/Chelsea Road Storm Drain Improvement Project area consists of
61-acres of low-medium density residential development in the Arden-Arcade
community. The project area is part of an upstream sub-shed of a 513-acre
tributary shed of Strong Ranch Slough and is bound by Barrington Rd to the north, Hurley Way to the south, Watt Avenue to the east, and Morse Avenue to the west.
In November 2006, project questionnaires were sent out to solicit input on the
flooding history of the area. In September 2007, supplementary questionnaires were sent out to additional sections of the project area. The information provided was vital to confirming the need for the project as well as refining the study area of this project.
Description
The Glenwood Road/Chelsea Road Way Storm Drain Improvement Project will
address flooding and maintenance issues on Glenwood Road, Gladstone Drive,
Sebastian Way, Somerset Road and Morse Ave (from Bakula Way to Chelsea Road).
Improvements will include installing new storm drain facilities, upgrading existing facilities, and abandoning deficient facilities.
