Wildhawk Water Treatment Plant Project

Contents

Description

The project will be constructed on a five acre site on Wildhawk Drive at a cost of $10 million. All the conveyance pipelines were installed prior to the construction of existing homes. The site, designed to be aesthetically pleasing to the surrounding neighborhoods, will take into account the already existing residential setting and environment. The buildings will be designed to fit in with the existing homes' elevations, and surrounding landscaping will be designed to blend with the adjacent homes. Lawn, shrubs, rock and decorative trees similar to those found in the neighborhood will be planted.

The site will consist of:

  • Two 1.5 million gallon treated water storage tanks
  • A filtration system
  • Pumps to deliver the treated water to the Water Agency's system of transmission and distribution pipelines
  • An operations building to house control equipment, treatment chemicals, and emergency generator
