Water Supply Section
The Water Supply unit
is organized into four different program
sections:
The mission of the unit is to plan,
design, and construct a safe and reliable water supply
infrastructure and to operate and maintain the water
supply system. Staff also work to obtain and protect
groundwater and surface water supply sources.
More than twenty public and private
water districts
provide water supply service in the unincorporated area of
Sacramento County. Department staff is responsible for providing
water supply service primarily in the urbanizing portion of
unincorporated Sacramento County, between the American and
Cosumnes Rivers.
The Water Supply unit staff is
committed to providing quality service in meeting
the water supply needs of its customers in a
safe, reliable, and environmentally sound manner.
The Water Supply unit is a dynamic group of
individuals, who focus their professional
talent and energy in meeting the increasing
water supply needs of a growing service area.
