Water Supply Facilities Operations and Administration
Description of Section
The Water Supply Facilities Operation and Administration Section is located
at the Water Quality Maintenance Yard in the County Branch Center complex on
Bradshaw Road.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Section is responsible for engineering support for Zone 41 of the Sacramento County Water Agency, which
provides potable water to 28,000 customer connections located in seven separate
service areas, of which the largest is Laguna-Vineyard. The Section also
provides engineering support for the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC),
Metro Airport, some park districts, the Branch Center complex, and Boys Ranch
water systems. Engineering duties include the review and analysis of water
systems and facilities, determination of corrective actions, and capital
improvements project management. Administrative duties include budgeting,
development plan review, customer complaint response, billing information
support to Consolidated Utilities Billing, recycled water, water meter
retro-fit, and water conservation program implementation.
